Q.What is the difference between parotid gland Botox and jaw Botox?
Jaw Botox reduces the jaw muscles (masseter muscles) to improve a square jaw, while parotid gland Botox reduces the salivary glands below the ear to reduce lower facial volume. By receiving both procedures together, you can manage both jaw muscles and salivary glands simultaneously, expecting a clearer V-line effect.
Q.Will I not salivate or will my mouth be dry after the procedure?
Salivary glands are distributed in various places in addition to below both ears, such as under the jaw and under the tongue. Since only the secretion amount of one parotid gland is adjusted, there is no significant impact on normal saliva secretion.
Q.When do the effects appear, and how long do they last?
You can usually feel the salivary gland size decreasing from 2 to 4 weeks after the procedure. The effect lasts for about 4 to 6 months, and the duration tends to gradually lengthen with repeated procedures.
Q.Which drug should I choose?

Precautions Before and After Procedure
- Mild swelling or bruising may occur at the injection site after the procedure and usually disappears naturally within 2-3 days.
- Avoid alcohol, saunas, and strenuous exercise on the day of the procedure.
- Do not press or massage the treated area strongly for more than 4 hours after the procedure.
- If you are pregnant/breastfeeding or have neuromuscular disease, the procedure may be difficult, so please consult us in advance.
